The local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) honored two individuals and a local theater Saturday before its annual fundraising walk.

Actress Stacey Logan-Lewis, the Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre and Oklahoma City Police Capt. Robert Nash all received the Dr. R. Murali Krishna Family “Eliminate the Stigma” Award for their efforts to fight the stigma of mental illness and the problems stemming from it, said Gail Israel, development coordinator for NAMI.

Krishna, president, COO and medical director of Integris Mental Health, was on hand to present the awards. Emcee was Terri White, commissioner for the state Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
